What is it to be PSM journalist today?


Many EBU members face increased political or financial pressure, and threats to their physical or cyber security. They’re also covering the upsurge of armed conflicts, the climate crisis and rapid adoption and progress of AI. 2024 will see more than half of the globe, 4.2bn people voting in 70 elections. Yet more elections does not always mean more democracy. The world is being geopolitically reshaped. So how do we protect the values of public service journalism in the face of these challenges? And what impact does it have on the staff, our organizations and the audiences we serve?
