IMPORTANT NOTE
We regret that the EBU Media Summit, scheduled to take place in Cologne on 21 and 22 April 2020, has been cancelled due to the escalating situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Taking into consideration the exceptional circumstances we are all facing, the health and wellbeing of our Members and our staff remains our primary concern.
Following consultations with the EBU Committee Chairs, it has been agreed to move the governance meetings online:
Committee (and Subcommittee) meetings on Monday 20 April and Tuesday 21 April will be held on these dates (online modality and exact times to be confirmed)
Radio, TV and Digital Assemblies on Wednesday 22 April will be moved to shorter online versions (online modality and exact times to be confirmed, in case we move to a series of specific, topical webinars on several dates).
For the time being, we are keeping it open regarding a potential Media Summit executive day in the autumn.
All documents will be made available well in advance and we will ensure that all sessions will be posted online for later consultation.
Elections were planned for a vacant Vice Presidency seat in the Digital Steering Committee and a Committee seat in the Radio Committee. These elections can’t be held online and will therefore become part of the overall elections at next year’s Assemblies.

The second edition of the EBU Media Summit took place in 2019 in Porto, hosted by RTP in Portugal.
The event was built around the theme “Relationships”: our relationship with audiences, with other public media organizations, and with key actors in our industry. How can we make these relationships work?
Topics for discussion included:
• Building better Public Service Media brands
• Connecting with young audiences
• Trust and collaboration
• Embracing diversity
• Building strong PSM alliances
