Teleprompting: the Cool Hunter using AI to invent TV formats

Graphic designers love to grumble about hazy briefs that are tantamount to the client admitting: ‘I don’t know what I want until you show it to me.’

Clients don’t want to do the imagining; they want to pick out ideas dreamt up by the whizzkid they’re paying. 

That’s why craftier creatives table three options: 1) boring, 2) realistic, and 3) whacky, where only 2) is feasible. 

But now we have AI, which can take the scantest brief and spew out infinite permutations until it strikes gold. Moreover, the prompter can keep vetoing proposals and rejigging the brief without feeling awkward about wasting a designer’s time.

It’s this quality in particular that led self-titled ‘Cool Hunter’ (it’s a real profession) and AI Implementation Consultant, Yaara Marchiano, to ask ChatGPT for original TV format ideas.
